The project – Requirements for many different functions
Through innovative, functional and stylish interior design, Lindelöfs, together with the architect, has streamlined the use of Microsoft’s office area by a third. A workplace at Microsoft is now a place where people can do their work. The company has gone from counting workplaces to instead counting seating. A concept that has proved as effective as pleasant for the employees.

Microsoft as a company needs to be innovative and have a workplace that expresses this. This was the starting point for the new office. For the employees this means no fixed workplaces. An exciting challenge for Lindelöfs, whose role has been furnishing which meets the requirements of many different functions – from short impromptu meetings to working in deep concentration, requiring freedom from disturbance.

  • Lindelöf’s role was to act as a sounding board for both client and architect in order to find innovative, functional interior design. The customer’s activity-based strategy gave rise to one of the largest projects Lindelöfs had undertaken, with 63 involved producers and specialist carpentry.
