“A welcoming light”

The project – a welcoming, efficient environment
The assignment was to renovate and liven up the office space in the building in Solvalla just outside Stockholm. Lindelöf’s partner, Note, were chief architects. The requirements were clear: a high-functioning, open work area, with good acoustics and lighting, with many open and closed meeting places.

Inspiration from aerial photography
Inspiration for the new office came from aerial photography, with its pattern of land surfaces. Different flooring was used to create exciting walkways in the office landscape.

One challenge was the former entrance, dark and with a mixture of styles. The solution was simplification, with clean surfaces and easier navigation. A full scale horse welcomes the visitor.
